Whether you’re set on flexing your culinary arm with a multi-coursed home cooked meal for your special someone or want to keep it low key with girls for a movie night, I have the perfect drink to accompany your fête. My Raspberry Rose is a sublime balance of pretty yet punchy, sweet yet saucy, and romantic yet fun. I promise it’s as appealing to look at as it is to sip! Kristen's Raspberry Rose

Serves 1

Raspberry Rose Cocktail

1 oz. gin

1/2 c. fresh raspberries

1/2 c. pesticide free rose petals (dried or fresh)

1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. water

1 egg white


For the Raspberry Rose Syrup:

  1. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Add raspberries and rose petals and bring to a slow boil.
  3. Remove from heat and allow contents to cool.
  4. Strain liquid and discard any remaining pieces.

For the Cocktail:

  1. Pour Raspberry Rose Syrup and gin into a cocktail shaker and shake.
  2. Add egg white to shake and shake for an additional 10-15 seconds until foamy.
  3. Pour into champagne glass and garnish with a rose peel or raspberry.

    I think this looks delicious. But quick question: does the recipe for one drink use all the syrup? A half cup of sugar seems like a lot for one drink.

      They are from Crate and Barrel, and are traditionally used at champagne glasses.

    This looks amazing! Do you think a big batch can be made ahead to serve at an event? Maybe substituting the champagne for the eggs to put in right before serving?
