Ingredients

For the rosemary simple syrup:

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 to 2 large sprigs rosemary

For the lemonade:

  • 5 to 6 large lemons
  • 5 cups water
  • lemon slices, for garnish
  • rosemary sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. To make the simple syrup, combine the water, sugar, and rosemary sprigs into a small saucepan over medium high heat. Bring it to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat, cover, and let the rosemary steep for 30 minutes. Strain the liquid to separate the rosemary sprigs from the simple syrup.
  3. Juice the lemons. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, water, and rosemary simple syrup. Chill for an hour and serve over ice.
