Don’t you just love May? For starters, in terms of holidays–Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day–there’s a little something for everyone. The weather is warm, but not yet scorching and the promise of an impending tropical getaway lingers in the air.
Last week in L.A., however, the weather was doing its best late August impression and climbing into the nineties which had me reaching under my bed and unpacking some of my favorite summer pieces. I totally believe that simplicity is key for dressing in warm weather. Nothing fussy, just great pieces topped off with a couple of accessories and you’re set!
Finding shorts that I love has always been a bit of a challenge so I usually just stick to my classic denim ones. I can already tell, though, that these soft cotton pinstripe shorts are going to be on heavy rotation! Paired with this tank it looks like a romper, but I love them with my favorite tees as well.
