I could eat pasta every day of the week and never tire of it. There are endless variations of sauces, shapes, and toppings–plus, I’m also equally happy with spaghetti with olive oil and garlic as I am a gourmet lobster ravioli. As long as some sort of pasta is involved, I’m easy to please. The rest of the Camille Styles team is equally obsessed with making, trying, and eating all things pasta. We’ve taste-tested the best grocery store sauces, learned how to make it from scratch, and curated countless recipes using our favorite ingredients. It’s safe to say that we take our pasta pretty seriously, so we did a deep dive into our stats from the past five years to compile this list of our 12 best pasta recipes of all time.
A lot of these recipes are easily customizable, most are one-pot wonders, and all of them are totally mouthwatering. Scroll on to see which recipes made the list, but be warned: you’re guaranteed to get hungry. Might as well boil some water now.
Our 12 Best Pasta Recipes of All Time
Butternut Squash, Spinach, & Goat Cheese Pasta
Why We Love It: Butternut squash, spinach, and goat cheese are three of my favorite ingredients rolled into one of my favorite dishes. This recipe is truly a one-pot wonder: with pasta, greens, and healthy roasted veg, it makes a beautiful and hearty meal in and of itself. This means less time spent washing pots and pans, more time spent around the table with friends.
Hero Ingredient: The butternut squash adds the most delicious seasonal flavors.
Summer Pasta Salad
Why We Love It: This is the kind of pasta salad you always want on hand. It’s easy to make, highlights seasonal ingredients, and tastes deliciously wholesome. Double the recipe, and it feeds a substantial crowd. Add this veggie summer pasta recipe to your barbecue side repertoire—you’re basically eating the rainbow.
Hero Ingredient: Grilled eggplant takes center stage.
Pesto Pasta Primavera
Why We Love It: This pesto pasta is Camille’s go-to meal, and once you taste it, you’ll understand why. One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it’s infinitely customizable based on what’s at the farmer’s market—Camille has thrown in red bell peppers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, and even kale, all with great success.
Hero Ingredient: Anything coated in pesto is bound to be delicious.
One-Pot Pasta Primavera With Summer Veggies & Ricotta
Why We Love It: This pasta recipe was inspired by an eight-day trip to Italy, and you can most definitely tell. It’s packed with fresh flavors, made in one pot and full of color. Plus, it’s infinitely adaptable, allowing you to swap in and swap out veggies as you please.
Hero Ingredient: Really rich ricotta.
Vegetarian Pasta Bolognese
Why We Love It: When Camille couldn’t find a vegetarian bolognese recipe that she loved, one of her all-time best pasta recipes was born. The veggies, herbs, and tomato sauce marinate together on the stove until it all gets a richness that’s incredibly satisfying and, in a weird way, meaty. Bonus: This bolognese recipe makes a lot of sauce, and thankfully it freezes beautifully.
Hero Ingredient: The mushrooms and tofu won’t even make you miss the meat.
One Pot Summertime Pasta
Why We Love It: This one-pot summer pasta comes together in 15 minutes to cure all of your summer dinner cravings. “I love this pasta dish because I am always shocked at how simple and tasty it is,” says professional cook Amanda Frederickson.
Hero Ingredient: The fresh basil is as beautiful as it is flavorful.
Spaghetti with Garlicky Shrimp, Asparagus, & Tomatoes
Why We Love It: This Spaghetti with Garlicky Shrimp, Asparagus, & Tomatoes features all of the delicious and wholesome ingredients that the Mediterranean diet is built on. It’s perfect for entertaining—it’s light but so satisfying, and feels a little bit elevated even though it comes together in 20 minutes.
Hero Ingredient: The garlicky shrimp really can’t be beat.
Lemony Pasta Carbonara With Peas & Zucchini
Why We Love It: This springtime spin on classic spaghetti carbonara is to die for. Traditional carbonara is definitely more indulgent, but for something you’re going to make on a more regular basis, we like pasta that packs plenty of veggies.
Hero Ingredient: Zucchini noodles both mimic the pasta and up the veggie content.
Spaghetti Squash Pasta With Goat Cheese, Arugula, & Bacon
Why We Love It: Not only is spaghetti squash a delicious fall ingredient, but it also happens to be low-carb and gluten-free. In this recipe, you sauté veggies in a bit of bacon fat to infuse the entire dish with incredible flavor. Plus, Camille shares her best spaghetti squash hack. This is one of the best pasta recipes that aren’t actually pasta.
Hero Ingredient: Spaghetti squash, obviously.
Dairy-Free Creamy Butternut Squash Pasta With Bacon & Crispy Sage
Why We Love It: This creamy butternut squash pasta is the healthy comfort food to get you through winter. It’s gluten and dairy-free and delicious. The base of the sauce is made from cashews, butternut squash, and dairy-free creamer, making it so creamy, without real cream.
Hero Ingredient: Cashews are a real chameleon in this recipe.
Summer Veggie Pasta Salad With Feta & Lemon-Tahini Dressing
Why We Love It: In our opinion, pasta salad should always be this good. Tossed with fresh summer veggies and a miso tahini dressing, this pasta salad is perfect for summer. Save the recipe for this dressing, too, because you’ll want to put it on everything from salads to sandwiches.
Hero Ingredient: Allll the fresh herbs.
Zucchini Noodle Pesto Pasta
Why We Love It: While zoodles will never truly be pasta, this recipe will still curb your cravings. This zucchini pasta has chicken, cherry tomatoes, pesto, and parmesan cheese, making it a whole meal in a bowl. For when you need a pasta fix but are trying to cut back, zucchini noodles will always be here for you.
Hero Ingredient: Juicy cherry tomatoes that explode with every bite.
