This might sound crazy to some of you, but I’m one of those people who loves grocery shopping. There’s almost no way I’d rather spend an afternoon than perusing the produce, chatting with the guys in the fish market, studying wine labels, and choosing a new cheese to sample that night. The big problem? Between work, taking care of a toddler, and squeezing in a social life, many weeks don’t allow for a leisurely hour-long shop, so I’m often left dashing in the store and grabbing whatever looks good for dinner that night… and as a result, my fridge and pantry have been sadly bare bones lately. Enter NatureBox, the new healthy snack delivery service that I recently decided to try out: and it might just be the key to returning my pantry to its former fully-stocked glory.

shown above: pistachio power clusters

Let me tell you, there’s something extremely fun about having a box show up at your door that’s full of yummy snacks. Self-control will probably fly out the window as you rip open each bag to sample the latest offerings, but it’s okay: every snack is made with high-quality thoughtfully sourced ingredients, and no hydrogenated oils, artificial colors, sweeteners or flavors. It’s no secret that us pregnant girls love a good sweet and salty snack (hello, white cheddar & caramel popcorn!) but I also really appreciate having some healthy snacks (dried granny smith apples, probiotic power mix) on hand that I can simply open up and pour into a bowl for Phoebe’s afternoon snack on especially busy days. And NatureBox has over 100 snacks to choose from, with new options added each month.

And having already been there once, I know that convenience will become especially crucial in the weeks after our new babe arrives. With around the clock feedings and diaper changes, there’s no doubt we’ll all be hungry for delicious, healthy snacks that don’t require any prep time. Not to mention, with all those guests stopping by to meet our new arrival, it’ll be nice to have a pantry full of delicious bites that we can open up and share.

above: my latest breakfast addiction: steel cut oats topped with praline pumpkin seeds and probiotic power mix.
