10 Hotels That Are Budget Friendly But Still Cool

By Chanel Dror

Is there ever a time of year when you’re not planning your next trip? I find it inspiring how much our culture has embraced travel in recent years, finally following the lead of our friends across the pond in realizing how much it can truly enrich life. And with design-forward boutique hotels taking the place of cookie-cutter chains, finding beautiful accommodations is now a big part of the adventure. The down side? Those boutique hotel price tags. Ouch.

With spring travel around the corner, we’re rounding up some of our favorite indie hotels that are the perfect balance of beautiful and wallet-friendly, so you can get your ‘gram and sleep there too.

I stayed at the Freehand Miami for my bachelorette in January! We rented one of the private rooms. It was a full, beautiful suite – with kitchen, 1/5 baths, a large sitting room and a big bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. It was perfect for a social girls weekend and at $200 a night, it was a steal by Miami standards. You could walk to the heart of SoBe and the house bar is super popular, when we returned back on Saturday night there was a line all the way through the lobby and out the front door! The vibe is laid back and inviting. Highly recommend!
