With swimsuit season upon us, we’re hitting the gym more than ever in the month of May. And when it comes to a great barre class, one of the hardest parts (other than simply showing up) is figuring out how to still make that 8pm dinner date looking put together and fresh. So we asked one of the busiest (and prettiest) girls we know to give us a peek at her post-workout beauty routine. Fitness guru Marnie Duncan is the owner and visionary behind Mod Fitness, Austin’s chicest workout destination. Marnie sometimes teaches multiple classes per day to her devout following of barre class babes, so she’s got her after-class beauty down to a science. Marnie only needs five extra minutes after a workout to get her hair and face looking fab. And the best thing about her routine is that it’s completely tool-free — you don’t need any brushes to apply these Target Beauty products that easily fit inside a gym bag:

She starts by cleansing her face with Yes To Carrots cleansing wipes — these handy towelettes use the power of carrots and vitamin E to cleanse and nourish the skin. Even better, they’re fragrance free (strangely rare in the world of towelettes!) so they’re especially great for sensitive skin like Marnie’s. She then takes a dab or two of Yes to Grapefruit CC Cream and applies to her face using her fingertips. Yes to Grapefruit CC Cream works well for lightweight color-correcting and evening out of the skin tone while also providing SPF 18 and moisturizing elements from grapefruit.

For a dab of color, Marnie uses Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel in Flushed Red — a great alternative to powder blush for girls on the go.

She brightens up her eyes with Pixi Large Lash Mascara, her favorite for achieving a bombshell false-lash look in a swipe of the wand. The oversized brush delivers major color and fullness…

And she finishes off the look with her little secret weapon, Toni & Guy Dry Shampoo. (We are not exaggerating when we say that dry shampoo has changed our lives and made so many more happy hours and last minute dinners possible.) Toni and Guy Casual Matt Texture is great because it adds texture to hair without leaving a white residue. Hello, beach babe!

SUPPLIES:

Can you believe Marnie achieved this look in five minutes using only five products and her fingers?! The proof is in the pudding, ladies. 8pm dinner dates are no longer valid excuses to miss a workout. See you in class…

Marnie is a total inspiration! Makes me want to hit the gym this afternoon and I really want to try some of that spray dry shampoo. I’ve only used the powder kind before… does anyone have a preference over spray vs. powder?

Absolutely gorgeous! I love how none of these products require extra brushes. This is definitely going to be my post-workout beauty routine from now on.
