It’s impossible to talk about Hawai’i without mentioning the heaps of designer swimwear lines local to the islands. And if there’s one woman who’s an authority on the topic, it’s Tiana Gamble, owner of Oahu-based BikiniBird. The born-and-raised Hawaiian lives with her husband and two daughters in Oahu’s Manoa neighborhood, which is — get this — literally famous for its rainbows, and a visit to her historic home felt like truly stepping into a day in the life of a local. Thanks to her tropical garden, her perfectly effortless style, and her cute-as-can-be daughters, our team left Tiana’s home with all the heart eyes. Keep reading to see what makes this multitasking mama tick.

What time is your wake-up call?

6:30am. I have two kids so usually my oldest will come in to our room.

Early bird or night owl?

Early bird. I’m in bed by 10, so about 8 hrs. I love a good sleep.

How would you describe your personal style?

I’m a little bit of everything with a casual vibe. I love trends, a good white button-up with straight jeans, and also appreciate a vintage band tee.

How did your own style inspire BikiniBird?

I’ve always loved bright, bold prints and colors. Which is my style. However, I love offering a good selection of basics and also some that are flattering on all body types.

Your home is exactly what we imagine a colonial Hawaiian home to look like. So gorgeous!

My home is my happy place. It is an old craftsman home from the 1920s. It’s a mixture of prints and patterns. I love bold graphics and mixed neutral colors with a pop.

And this stunning sunroom! We could spend hours here.

The sunroom is our favorite family spot. The antique Balinese daybed is covered with a colorful mix of pillows by John Robshaw.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

Cuddle my kids.

Describe your getting ready routine from start to finish.

It’s called survival! In between, breakfast-making, hair-brushing, diaper-changing, I throw together an easy outfit and do a quick 5-minute makeup session, followed by a 5-minute hair dry and I’m out the door.

We love the laid back, comfy and eclectic feel of your home. How would you describe your interiors style?

Similar to my personal style. Modern and trendy with a mix of vintage. Mixed prints and layered patterns. I love a good layered rug look.

Describe your morning in one word:

Whirlwind.
