There are few things more satisfying than a truly successful Target run – including a few impulse buys you didn’t even know you needed. Anyone else guilty of going in for one thing and coming out 2 hours later with an entire shopping cart of groceries, home decor, bath products, and cozy basics you knew you’d regret leaving on the shelves? Well, now that their natural beauty aisle has achieved cult favorite status, my willpower is officially gone.

ICYMI, Target now stocks its shelves with natural, cruelty-free, and vegan beauty products, along with a “Target Clean” icon to label the beauty and personal-care products that are certified clean by the retailer’s standards (scope more info on their natural beauty product standards here). All Target products with the green ‘clean’ symbol are cruelty free and never use unnecessary chemicals — lookin’ at you sulfates, parabens, and phthalates. According to the Target Bullseye bulletin, the initiative is part of their big picture goal to eliminate certain chemicals from all their beauty products by 2020.  Bra.Vo.

From lightweight facial cream that looks great under makeup to a 100% compostable shampoo bar, we’ve rounded up our favorite natural hair, skin, and makeup products that should make it into your cart the next time you’re at Target.

Acure Brightening Day Cream

With ingredients like kelp, lemon peel, green clay, and Madonna lily, this daily moisturizer works to brighten your complexion gently and naturally. It smells delicious, is super lightweight, looks great under makeup, and works to even skin tone. This is one of those goto items that’s always stocked in my makeup kit.

natural beauty products, dr bronners

Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap

Always a classic, this liquid soap is a true multitasker. I use it as a body wash, bubble bath, and even laundry detergent. I also use it to wash my makeup brushes — you only need a couple drops so it lasts forever! Choose from 10+ scents, although lavender seems to be a crowd favorite among the CS Team.

natural beauty products

Versed Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Face Mask

The whole line of Versed non-toxic beauty products is super cute and new to Target. This face mask is glycerin-based, meaning it draws and bonds water to the skin, and its lack of silicones means maximum absorption. I like to use this mask weekly or for special events whenever I want an extra dose of water based hydration.

facial toner, rosewater face mist, natural beauty

Cocokind Rosewater Facial Toner

This rosewater facial mist is a clean and refreshing spritz I love to use under my skincare as a toner, or over makeup as a setting / refreshing spray.

concealer, natural makeup

W3LL People Bio Correct Multi-Action Concealer

It’s not easy to find a great natural concealer, but this one is the real deal. This product is smooth, luxurious, and blends really well. I use it in a shade lighter than my foundation for added coverage, and it stays on almost all day. Can’t beat the price for natural makeup, and a little goes a long way!

natural sunscreen, natural makeup

Bare Republic Mineral Sunscreen

Chemical sunscreens are a big no-no in natural beauty, so mineral sunblocks are your best bet if you want to keep ingredients clean. This sunscreen goes on smooth, and isn’t greasy in the slightest — a must in my book for face sunscreen.  It’s great for sensitive skin, plus it’s ideal for outdoor workouts since it’s water-resistant for up to 80 minutes.

natural cleanser, natural makeup

Red Earth Green Rush Exfoliating Cleanser

This exfoliating cleanser combines the polishing effects of a scrub with the softness of a cleansing oil. Plus, it has the underrated Kakadu plum extract — one of the world’s richest sources of vitamin C — to make skin super bright and glowy.

natural shampoo, natural beauty

Ethique Beauty Pinkalicious Shampoo Bar

The Ethique mission is clean and zero-waste, which means that every in-shower bar — from shampoo and conditioner to face cleanser and body wash — is made with certified organic, vegan, and cruelty-free ingredients. Plus, the exterior packaging is 100% compostable.

cleanser, face mask, face mud, natural beauty

Grace + Tonic Botanical Beauty Cleansing Mud

If you have oily skin and already own a few clay masks, you’ll especially love this new-to-Target Grace + Tonic cleansing mud. The Brazilian purple clay and cupuacu butter in the formula are refreshing and effective, unclogging your pores without irritating sensitive skin.

natural deodorant, natural makeup, natural beauty

Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant Stick

This deodorant smells really good with natural lavender oils, and lasts all day. It’s not sticky and did not irritate my skin at all — I have tried other natural brands that burned my skin and had to wash it off right away. The stick version is easy to apply, and has a cream to a powder dry feel. Note: it can get crumbly if you over apply, but it comes off with a tissue easily.
