Beauty Brush Breakdown

September 9th, 2015

Whenever a friend tells me that she’s “terrible with makeup,” I can usually infer that, in reality, she just has no idea how to apply it. And, honestly, I don’t blame her — there are so many different brushes and applicators out there, I’m sure it seems impossible to determine with brushes are used for what (without a degree in cosmetology, of course). With that said, today I’ll be breaking down exactly which tools you need to easily and quickly make up your entire face (lip brushes need not apply!). Read as I decode the best brushes and blenders — and, if you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to ask in the comments below!

  1. That EcoTools brush looks great for applying foundation. I like to use a sponge to apply creamier foundations, but this one looks like it will help blend the product better.

I’m a believer in the eyebrow brush! It works wonders. Brushing my brows out makes such a dramatic difference.

How natural are your products? i am interested in followering someone who knows about natural make up and products and how to apply

  4. Emily says:

What are beauty blenders like? I have heard raging reviews but how do they compare to brushes?

  5. Agnes says:

I am relatively new to using makeup brushes but from the first foundation application I became a convert. What a difference a good brush makes! My top 3 are: foundation brush ( never used sponges as they waste too much of a product), all over eye shadow brush and angled brow brush. To make them last it it important to clean them properly and dry flat. Be gentle 🙂

  6. Connie says:

The link for the last brushed features (before through makeup blending brush) is malfunctioning.
