The Coolest New Face Cleansers

October 31st, 2016

Face cleanser. Let me take a guess — it’s probably not the most exciting product in your medicine cabinet. Out of all of the fun lotions and potions out there, cleanser is one of those categories that we usually look to as a utilitarian product: does it take off my makeup and leave me feeling clean without irritating? Done and done.

But, if it’s been awhile since you’ve explored the offerings in the cleansing realm, you might be surprised to find that the newest products go way beyond your average foaming gel. Cleansers now range from mousse textures to stick exfoliants—and, have you met micellar water? There are abundant new ways to get your face cleansed, purified and refined; click through to check out the newest ways to come clean.

  1. Currently love the Garnier micellar water, but I’d like to try a cleansing oil next, especially for the winter.

Garnier Micellar Water is a perfect and simple cleanser and I love it!

Cleanser…a never ending story for me! I have typical combination skin and blemish prone skin due to my oily T-zone. Lord why me ??? I tried so many cleansers over the last 10 ten years, cheap drug store products as well as high-end luxury products and yet my prayers were not answered. About a month ago, I was in LA visiting a friend and forgot my cleanser at home in Amsterdam. I went to Sephora with the goal to finally find my perfect cleanser. And I did!!! I spent almost 2 hours in store, and it was a mix of the great recommendations I received from the staff there and follow my gut. I bought the Sunday Riley “Ceramic Slip”. It is by far the best cleanser I have ever used in my entire life!

Sunday Riley has many more great products, but since they are on the pricey side, I thought I would just stick with the cleanser since it is an essential and provides the base for what follows.

I do however use Micellar Water from french pharmacy brand Klorane prior to the cleanser to ensure that every little dirt and make-up is being removed properly.

btw – love your blog!!! Better than any fashion/health/lifestyle magazine out there! Love, Julia
