Are You Doing Your Laundry Right?

September 23rd, 2015

Oh, laundry… can anyone out there say that they truly love doing it? (if so, tell me your secret!) Laundry can be a drag, but since it’s an inevitable part of life — for most of us, multiple times per week — we might as well learn to do it really well. After all, those gorgeous new fall clothes will only stay looking their best if treated with a little TLC! For the next post in our series with Seventh Generation, I’m breaking down the basics I rely on to keep our clothes looking and feeling great, and you know what? Knowing how to do laundry the right way actually makes it feel a little more fun, too. Click through to find out why plant-based laundry products are the way to go, and what steps you should be taking before your clothes hit the washer. Consider it the best fashion investment you might make all season!

I kind of do like doing laundry. It’s weird.

  2. Kate says:

I love Seventh Generation detergent. I usually wait until I can stack manufacturer coupons with Target sales and stock up, since it can be expensive.

  3. Candi says:

I love doing laundry, fresh air and quiet while hanging it out.

  4. Robyn says:

Best laundry tip would be “Color Catcher” sheets, I throw one in with every wash so I never have a white t-shirt turn pink ever again 🙂

  5. Jen says:

I do most of these, except the color sorting. I live alone and I only do one load of clothing each week, so I just throw everything in together and wash in cold water. I don’t have enough whites to do a separate load.
