Bathroom envy is a real thing, people, and if you don’t believe me just take a look at Gabriela Perezutti Hearst’s marble tub on instagram. While I generally prefer a certain level of modesty when it comes to interiors, I’m absolutely and totally cool with over-the-top bathrooms. It’s the one room in the house that’s all about pampering yourself, so it makes perfect sense for a bathroom to be a little bit rock-n-roll. My dream bath is a glossy, candlelit sanctuary with a free standing tub and zero counter clutter. Right now I’m really feeling black and white tile, brass hardware, and unexpected elements like antique rugs or fireplaces. But for those of us who aren’t renovating an entire room, we can always dress up our current space with a plush new set of towels or fresh cut roses for the sink.
