Okay, so maybe a scented candle isn’t the most original gift, but c’mon: have you ever met a person who didn’t love receiving one? Especially when said candle has the coolest packaging, is made of clean-burning soy wax, and lasts for 60 (or more) hours. We polled our beauty council members to find out which scented candle they can’t live without, and many of their picks check all boxes. Personally, I burn one of my favorites every single day — there’s no easier way to add a sense of luxury to day-to-day life, whether it’s an invigorating citrus on my desk while I work or relaxing lavender on the bedside table while I read at night. Do you think of beautifully-scented candles as extravagances… or essentials? Why not just embrace the fact that they can be both, then go ahead and scoop up a holiday gift or two for yourself. This candle was inspired by the beautiful wood floors of Versailles — it’s warm and woody and can fill a room even when it isn’t lit. A few years ago, I visited Versailles and actually got on my hands and knees to smell the floors, and I can confirm that the candle is spot-on.
