Awakening Herbal Facial Steam
Soothing Herbal Facial Steam

DIY Herbal Facial Steams
- 1 medium bowl
- 1 bath towel
For an Awakening Facial Steam:
equal parts (one tbsp for single use):
- lavender
- sage
- eucalyptus
- rosemary
- chamomile
For a Soothing Facial Steam:
equal parts (one tbsp for single use):
- lavender
- rose
- calendula
- chamomile
- 5 drops geranium
- juice from half a lemon
If you'd like to make enough for multiple uses, you can store in an airtight container and keep in a dry place.
- Set a medium bowl on a stable surface, preferably at a height to easily lean your head over.
- Boil 2 quarts of water, add your favorite combination of herbs and flowers, and allow to steep 2-3 minutes.
- Strain herbs and flowers, and pour the water into the bowl.
- Drape the bath towel over your head to form a "tent", while leaning your head over the bowl.
- Steam your face for up to 10 minutes, or until the bowl stops steaming.
- Rinse your face with cold water and pat dry.
