It’s safe to say we all felt the holiday spirit a little earlier this year—it’s little wonder after the year we’ve had! I’m off to buy my tree this weekend and it feels late. From Kenosha, Wisconsin to Chicago and even Miami, Christmas tree sales are up 29% (and Christmas decorations and holiday décor sales aren’t far behind). Somehow, leaning on old tradition and sentimentality is helping us all feel a sense of normalcy this holiday season.
Someone who did get a head start this year was Camille. We were so inspired by her natural, woodland-style holiday décor (you should see the front door!) we decided to do a round-up of all our favorite pieces to recreate this look at home. As I prepare to decorate my own home this weekend, I can only hope some of the Christmas decorations and holiday décor is still in stock. At least five of the items we planned to share in this story were sold out by the time we wrote it—so if you haven’t started, get shopping, stat! Happy Holidays!
Bring in the beauty of nature with these sparkling twig stakes. Hang them around the mantel or around the window frame for that holiday touch.
No holiday season is complete without an appearance from the Nutcracker. These wooden ornaments are a classic nod to old tradition in a modern way.
To keep it within the natural theme of Camille’s home, adorn the tree with wooden ornaments like this beautiful snowflake.
Fuse tradition with modernity with these stylish natural beads from Magnolia!
Who doesn’t love some tinsel for the holidays? We’re all about the shine and these champagne balls will bring a twinkle to your eye.
If you’re not planning matching plaid pajamas, then incorporate this classic holiday pattern in your holiday stockings.
Of if you want to keep things neutral like Camille, these cable knit stockings are a great option.
If you love the wooden texture but still want the traditional colors of red and green, opt for this ornament that gives you the best of both worlds.
We’re all about bringing the outside in right now (being cooped up inside all year will do that!). We love this pre-lit hanging branch for the mantel or the front door.
We’re all about natural leafy green wreaths this year and this cypress one is calling our name.
This natural tree collar is a perfect statement and is a much nicer (and sustainable) option to plastic.
This one looks eerily similar to Camille’s handmade woodsy holiday wreath but there’s no DIY involved—bonus!
Who said you had to bring in real plants to make your home look nature-inspired? There are so many wonderful faux options too which is especially handy when you live in an area that doesn’t have ilex berries or cypress growing nearby!
Cedar is also a beautiful option for a wreath and we just can’t get enough of the scent.
Buying a new ornament each year is a nice way to celebrate the new season and also tells it’s own story each year when you hang them on the tree.
Bring some zen into your holiday decorating with this onyx crystal ornament.
We love the natural material and texture of these leather trees that will only get better over the years as the wear and tear creates its own story.
Dim the lights and burn candles to set the mood this holiday season.
Pampas grass has been on trend for a few years now and we still love it, especially in the shape of a fun wreath.
Give your stocking holders a marble upgrade with this super chic version from CB2.
