Spill It: What’s Always In My Purse

By Camille Styles
In My Purse

In My PurseAs a naturally nosy curious person, I love those articles that show what different people always keep in their bags: I’m fascinated by the little things that they can’t travel without, and it’s always a great way to discover cool new products. Since my must-haves have evolved since I became a mom to a toddler, and then to a newborn (again), I thought it would be fun to share the items that are currently taking up real estate in my roomy leather Cuyana tote (aka my non-diaper bag that always has diapers in it.) I’ve always got to have a few great beauty products for touch-ups on the go, kid essentials like wipes and extra onesies, and travel-friendly bags of Blue Diamond Almonds in a couple different flavors, which are both mine and Phoebe’s go-to snack (I seriously eat an insane amount of them every day.) If you were to snoop around in my purse today, here’s what you’d find…

*photos by Buff StricklandIn My PurseiPad Mini. The compact size means I can throw it in my purse and have my books, magazines, and work presentations at my fingertips at all times.

Blue Diamond Almonds. I often have a couple different flavors with me, though the Oven Roasted Sea Salt is a constant.

Camera. My Sony RX1 is small but powerful — I use it both for work and for capturing everyday moments with the kids.

Sunglasses. My current favorites are this Gucci pair.

Lip Gloss. I love the bright but sheer color of Boots’ Botanics Volumizing Gloss in Poppy. In My PurseNotebook for jotting down ideas. This one by Smythson is functional and cheeky.

Clare V. wallet. Keeps my cards and cash organized in my bigger bag, and it’s cute enough to pull out and carry as a mini “clutch” on its own.

Sunscreen. I always keep a small tube in my bag for impromptu trips to the park! Love this unscented and baby-safe version from Honest.

Le Pens. My favorite writing utensil! I never leave home without at least a couple of different colors.
In My PurseI’d love to hear in the comments: what 3 items can always be found in your bag?

I always have chapstick (Maybelline Baby Lips is a personal favorite), bobby pins/hair ties, and water. Always! Even when I’m going on a hike or around the corner to the store.

Also, I love that tote! What a pretty color for spring/summer. I have the Madewell Transport Tote and use it all the time! What a great catchall.
