Finnish food bloggers Virpi Mikkonen and Tuulia Talvio know a thing or two about healthy living. In addition to creating recipes and blogging about food, Virpi is a certified health coach and Tuulia is a certified yoga instructor. But even health nuts have a sweet tooth, so to satisfy their never-ending craving for ice cream, Virpi and Tuulia set out to create ice cream recipes made from wholesome, all-natural ingredients. The result? Over 80 cold treat recipes that will make you feel as great as they taste! We asked Virpi and Tuulia to share our two favorite recipes from their gorgeous new cookbook N’Ice Cream that are sure to satisfy your summertime sweet tooth while still keeping you in shape for swimsuit season.

All of the recipes in Virpi and Tuulia’s cookbook are dairy, gluten, and refined sugar-free. This makes their sweet treats taste lighter and fresher compared to their more decadent alternatives. (Who would guess we’d ever call a minty triple-chocolate milkshake light and fresh?) And for the cherry on top, Virpi and Tuulia take the hard work out of homemade ice cream by providing instructions for those with or without an ice cream maker. Which recipe is at the top of your list to try?

Wow, they look delicious! Who knew ice cream could be so pretty – normally I have it smudged round my mouth and melting onto my hands – not a good look!
