The Wall Treatment I Want to Do In Every Room Of My House

Lime washed everything, please.

By Chanel Dror

It seems all the beautiful interior spaces I fall in love with have one thing in common: textured plaster walls. And if they’re distressed and peeling, even better. But how does one get the look? Moving into a historic mansion is one option. But the second, more realistic option, is DIY-ing it with lime wash. The process is only slightly more complicated than regular painting, and the finished product is that gorgeous, natural, textural finish. Take a look at some of our favorite examples below, and in the comments section, let us know what you think: Are you all about the multidimensional depth of lime washed walls, or are we just looking at a glorified resurgence of sponge painting here?
