About two weeks ago an out-of-town client came to meet our team at the bungalow for a drink after work. We were all sitting around the fireplace enjoying a bottle of La Crema pinot noir when Chanel looked out the window and said, “Y’all. It’s SNOWING!” We ran outside and to our absolute shock and delight, she was right. Snow in Austin is a rare occurrence (it’s been about six years since the last time) and for the rest of the evening our social media feeds were full of kids making tiny snowmen, pretty windowpanes, and snow falling in front of streetlights. It only lasted for a few hours, but every minute of it was magic. It made me wish for a snowed-in holiday somewhere cozy, like one of these 10 idyllic winter escapes. Check out my list of the 10 best winter lodges and cabins to hole up in this season (and pour me another glass of red, please.)

These all look amazing, you definitely aren’t the only one wishing for a snowed-in Christmas! We had snow for a few days last week, but it was nothing compared to these amazing looking places. My favourite here is definitely Dunton Hot Springs – it looks lush! Thanks for sharing, let’s hope we can all visit some of these amazing places some day!
