I believe that an optimistic spirit can change almost any situation. It’s waking up on a Monday morning and viewing it as just another day, or one that’s bursting with potential. Or coming up against a tough situation at work and seeing it either as an insurmountable hurdle or as an opportunity to take a creative approach. It pretty much boils down to this: will we purposefully choose to approach challenges in our lives with resiliency and a desire to find solutions?

Naturally, I was really excited when Frost Bank invited me to join them for the 30-Day Optimism Challenge. Watch the video below to see what happened throughout my journey; a few of the optimistic acts may have felt unnatural at first, but at the end of the day they brought a little joy to someone else’s day and left me with a big smile on my face, too. One thing I’ve noticed in my own life is that the more I flex this optimistic muscle, the more it becomes my go-to gut response.
