We got home from our final vacay of summer last night, and let’s just say that our transition back to reality was… a sudden one. This morning I got up early, unpacked suitcases, then got our crew ready for “meet the teacher” at Phoebe’s elementary school, and tomorrow we’ll all be up before sunrise for the first day of school.
On one hand, I love the structure and schedule that fall brings; I can get back to working out regularly, see friends who I’ve missed during our summer travels, and get some good long stretches in the office to work with my team as we gear up for the holiday season. That said, a part of me feels sad that those freer days of summer are in the rearview mirror. And thought we’ve still got a handful of sunny weekends to jump in the pool and cook all our food on the grill, the vibe undeniably changes from carefree to one that’s more focused and goal-oriented.
To make the transition less of a bummer, I’ve been listening to some of the podcasts I can always count on to pump me up and get me excited for the busy weeks ahead.
They’re the ones that put me in a productive and healthy frame of mind, whether it’s getting back on track with healthy eating, optimizing my work habits, or being the most intentional parent I can be. Read on for 5 podcasts that never fail to get me motivated, and I’d love to hear in the comments how y’all are getting inspired to say buh-bye to summer and hello to getting sh* done!
