Hiking by day and stargazing by night, nothing feeds the soul quite like an escape to the desert. What it might lack in ocean breezes and sandy beaches, it makes up for in hot springs, uninterrupted panorama, and nary a cell tower in sight. This summer, home on the range is exactly what the doctor ordered, and these 10 destinations are at the very top of our bucket list.

Oh wow!! I LOVE desert hotels so much – especially ones with Southwest style! I’m dying to try Amangiri and Miraval!

Don’t forget The Inn of the Five Graces in Santa Fe! Best hotel ever!

Great list of places that every seeker of serenity and laid-back atmosphere should consider.

I have been to Palm Springs and Sedona. Needless to I have enjoyed every second.
Red mountains of Sedona are surreal. Therefore, I call Sedona ‘Red Mountains Wonderland’.

Utah (Zion and Moab) is on my bucket list.

Two Bunch Palms looks like such a beautiful retreat to head to. I wish I could be there right now! It looks perfect for a desert retreat somewhere where you just need time to think to yourself and relax. A place I love going to is The Enchantment Resort in Sedona AZ. I would recommend looking into them because it’s very peaceful there and is in an amazing location for tons of hiking, nature, and spa retreats 🙂

I would love to stay in either of those tents but the one in Zion is what I am going to look up for this summer! I am all about glamping! Most of the time I travel with my kids, so I need to find ones for more than 2 people but love a mix of the outdoors and luxury at the same time!

I lived in Texas for years and never heard of El Cosmico until now. It looks incredible!

I am planning a last minute Utah Road Trip for my kids and all of these places look AMAZING!!!!! It is so hard to decide where to go and where to stay! I think they would love the tents in Zion, but the Ranch looks pretty cool too! Maybe we can do both! Thanks for the tips!
