We can all agree that the best thing to do to prepare for having guests over is to make things simple, right? It feels as though the world has been spinning at warp-speed for a while, but lately, more people are starting to slow down and savor the goodness of connecting with those around them. That being said, sometimes us hostesses aren’t necessarily in the same boat. And to ensure that doesn’t ever happen again, I’ve compiled a few dessert recipes below that are quick and easy to make (and no one will know they’re not 100% homemade desserts.)
So cheers, everyone! Here’s to not obsessing over how the night should go, but instead, seeing how the night is actually unfolding before us.

Mango-Melon Sorbet
I’m a mango gal, so I particularly love this recipe, but you can make this sorbet with your favorite fruit, or a mixture of fruits if you’re feeling adventurous. Make a large batch and scoop into small bowls.
No-bake Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookie
Gather around and make dessert interactive with this single-serving cookie recipe! It takes 10 minutes, and you most likely have all of the ingredients you need already in your pantry.
Key-Lime Pie Parfaits
To throw together a quick key-lime “pie”, simply alternate layers of key-lime flavored yogurt (i.e Chobani) and crumbled graham crackers in a glass or small cup. Finish off with a lime slice and optional coconut flakes.
Chocolate Cups with Berries
Who doesn’t love berries and chocolate? This pre-made trick is a nice bite-sized treat to end dinner. Make a whole pan ahead and have them ready for your guests to grab and fill!
- Fill a muffin pan with paper cupcake liners, and paint the floors and walls of the liners with melted dark chocolate to your desired thickness.
- Freeze for at least 30 minutes, or until hard.
- Peel the paper cupcake liner off and fill with your favorite berries. Enjoy!
There’s nothing like sharing a big bowl of popcorn with your favorite people. Follow this recipe to make this deliciously nutty caramel corn for your guests in no time!
Much like the Mango-Melon Sorbet recipe above, but you know, froyo.
Oh wow these look so good
