Samode Palace in Jaipur, India
India is truly exploding with color, and no architecture captures it quite like the ornate Samode Palace in Jaipur, which also happens to be a hotel. Win win.

Pantai Merah on Komodo Island in Indonesia
Pantai Merah, or the “Pink Beach” on the island of Komodo is one of seven natural pink beaches in the world. The beach gets it’s unique hue from from microscopic animals called Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment on the coral reefs. The beach is ideal for snorkeling, diving, and for spotting the Komodo Dragon — the largest living lizard on the planet.
Casa Luis Barragan in Mexico City, Mexico
We visited the Luis Barragan house on our girls trip to Mexico City, and touring the famed architect’s home was a highlight of our trip. His use of bold saturated color combined with minimal shapes will leave you inspired to take the railings off your staircase and paint the ceiling yellow.

The Seven Magic Mountains in Las Vegas, Nevada
Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone’s large scale art installation outside of Vegas is comprised of seven 30-foot tall rock totems, all painted day glow colors. It’s an instagrammer’s dream in the middle of the desert, and even better — free and open to the public.

The blue city of Chefchaouen, Morocco
Of all the colorful historic towns in the world, you’d be hard pressed to find one more picturesque than the blue-washed buildings of old town in Chefchaouen, Morocco. It’s like walking inside Picasso’s blue period, surrounded by mountains and cannabis farms. Whoah.

The Annual Umbrella Installation in Águeda, Portugal
AgitÁgueda, an annual art festival in Águeda, put the city on the map in 2006 with this whimsical installation. Every year in July, you’ll see hundreds a canopy of floating umbrellas above the streets of the city during the festival.

The Glowworm Caves in Waitomo, New Zealand
Between its picturesque mountains and beaches, New Zealand boasts a seemingly endless list of outdoor attractions. But a tour through the Glowworm Grotto in Waitomo is at the top of our bucket list of Kiwi adventures. The glowworm (Arachnocampa Luminosa) is unique to New Zealand, and a tour through the grotto reveals thousands of these tiny creatures as they radiate their unmistakable luminescent light into a subterranean world.
