Our New Site Design Is Here!

Hey honey, notice anything different?

Pardon me for a sec while I geek out over the NEW CAMILLE STYLES SITE DESIGN!! You may have noticed that, as of yesterday, things are looking more than a wee bit different over here, but what I haven’t shared is that this new site has been a culmination of many months of intense planning, dreaming, and architecting by our team. It’s hard to believe that CamilleStyles.com turns 10 years old this year, so it’s especially fitting that this redesign is our biggest to date: it feels like a reflection of our evolution into a lifestyle publication with a fresh approach and inspired point of view.

The new design makes it easier and more intuitive to get right to the content you crave, ’cause we know you’re strapped for time but want #alltheinspo! You’ll find areas dedicated to our core topics Entertaining, Food, Design, Style, Travel, and Wellness right at the top of the page where you can explore fresh content updated daily. Go down the rabbit hole of the incredible Tastemakers we’ve featured through the years, explore all the Home Tours y’all love so much, and one of the things I’m most excited about is that we’ve added a Destinations hub to our Travel page that allows you to research a spot for your next big trip.

I could honestly go on and on, but I think the best way to discover it all is to just come on in and have a look around! But first, two important thank you’s are in order:

– Merrygood, the creative studio who brought all of our visual dreams to life with fonts, colors, and inventive layouts. We love you guys and are so grateful for your partnership on this project!

– Adam (my husband) who gets the unofficial title of Chief Everything Officer on this project – you spent countless early morning, late night, and weekend hours with me planning this new design down to the tiniest detail, and it couldn’t have happened without your eagle eye and creative brain that astounds me every day. And we only got in, like, 2 fights the entire time!

– Our genius developers whose identities I am shamelessly keeping a secret because developers like this do NOT come along every day and I need them to stay in my life forever and ever. Sorry guys. 😉

The biggest thanks goes to YOU, our readers, for inspiring me daily. There’s nothing (not even this redesign) that excites me more than the daily opportunity to serve you with content that’s informative, uplifting, motivational, and thought-provoking. Can’t wait to hear what you think of our new look!

Congrats on the new website! One small comment is that the rotating banner on top suggesting articles, is extremely distracting and makes me want to leave the page, not read the articles you are suggesting to me. Maybe place it only when a user is scrolling back up instead of down and not have it change content every theee seconds. The flashing content doesn’t allow to focus on reading the content of the article you are currently on.

    1. Liz says:

Totally agreed – I was going to leave the same feedback!

One thing I noticed is that the pictures load much more quickly, like instantly as opposed to what seem like an awful long time before (sometimes I had to wait 2 or 3 minutes before reading an article). This will make reading articles so much easier and quicker. So congratulations on this, and the new design as well.

  3. Elle says:

LOVE!!!! LOOKS AMAZING!!! Your site has been my “go-to” for years now…. Such a beautiful aesthetic and fabulous, yet relatable content.

  4. Kathleen says:

The new design is so light and fresh – crisp and chic! It looks wonderful. My morning routine forever has consisted of checking CSB, and its exciting to see it transform into an elevated style. Cheers to this accomplishment!

  5. Liz says:

Agreed with Nalena – really lovely but the rotating banner is super distracting when I’m trying to read the articles.

    1. Wendy says:

the layout is fresh and inviting but I agree I was overwhelmed by so much flashing at me when I entered the site.

  6. Tamika Young Living says:

I love it! The images load so quickly and the overall look is so clean <3

  7. Amy says:

Love your site and everything ya’ll do, but the rotating banner is the worst, especially on a phone! Was especially comical trying to read the article about single tasking but not being able to get through it because the suggestions kept popping up. Is there a way to still view site without that?

  8. Camille Styles says:

Hi guys! Thanks for all the kind words and great feedback. Re the rotating banner: we hear you guys and are working to finesse this asap so that it is helpful, NOT distracting! Especially enjoyed your comment @Amy – point taken. 😉 Stay tuned and look forward to hearing your thoughts once we’ve released the next version of this feature.

    1. Amy says:

I hope it came across too how lovely and thoughtful the redesign is, and really user friendly and fresh.

  9. Tabby says:

The redesign is quite lovely, and I like that the pictures load quickly, however I don’t think it’s right to not give credit to your developers. That’s really not encouraging and it’s not particularly supportive of your talented staff. I’m disappointed to see that.

    1. Camille Styles says:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Tabby – trust me when I say that I am obsessed with our developers and had offline discussions with both of them about not sharing their names on this post, and for very good reasons. However I couldn’t bear to thank the other people who were part of the redesign without acknowledging them, hence the anonymous shout-out. 🙂

LOVEEEEEE the new site design!! The overall look and feel of it is so in line with the CS brand! I’m a long time reader here, and have noticed your progressive shift in all areas Camille Styles, it’s awesome. Kudos!

Adding a new comment as I can’t seem to be able to send a direct e-mail.
I am subscribing to your posts via Bloglovin’, and since the new design has been launched, no pictures show up next to the posts’ titles on the feed, which looks a bit dry and boring, especially when several posts at a time are loaded on to the feed. It might be just an option to tick somewhere on the admin. side of your website. Hope you manage to fix this. Thanks in advance.

    1. Jasmine says:

I have the same issue with Feedly. The title alone must be interesting enough to have me click over as that is all I see. No picture, no intro.

      1. Camille Styles says:

Thanks for the feedback – this is so great to know and we are actively working to get it fixed. THANK YOU!

  12. Ajiri says:

Looking good babe!! So bright and modern! Love love love!

    1. Camille Styles says:

Thank you Ajiri, that means so much coming from you! Can’t wait to see you SOON!
