Apple Cranberry Steel Cut Oats

  • Steel-cut oats
  • Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Dried cranberries
  • Chopped apple — Granny Smith is great for this
  • Milk or almond milk
  • Brown sugar
  • Chopped walnuts
  • Ground Cinnamon


  1. In a pot, combine 1 cup steel cut oats with 3 cups water and 1/4 tsp. salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a low simmer.
  2. Add chopped apple, dried cranberries, and 1/2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract. Partially cover and cook 45 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  3. Remove from heat and add toppings to taste: milk or almond milk, brown sugar, walnuts, and Ground Cinnamon.
