Happy weekend, friends. We’re celebrating our first family birthday in self-quarantine today: our baby, Henry, turns 5! Thankfully we’ve been spending time with our parents and my sister’s family, so he’ll get a little family party complete with backyard swimming, presents, and his number one request: a cookies and cream ice cream cake from H-E-B. 😉 It’s only 7:30 a.m., and here are a few nuggets I’ve already gotten from my birthday boy:

Henry, right when he woke up: “Bad news. This is like the worst day ever to be 5. (Me: why?). Because my belly kind of hurts.

H, looking into a mirror: That’s weird. (Me: what?) I still kind of look 4!

H: Measure me on the wall. (Me: why?) to check if I’m really 5.

I’m so thankful I get to be this guy’s mama – he brings so much sweetness and color to our lives every day. Now off to make waffles and celebrate him! Scroll on for my favorite reads from around the web this week, and I’d love to hear any articles / podcasts / shows you’ve been loving in the comments.
