Austin has officially transformed into crazy town for SXSW, and although I love the energy and out-of-town friends and parties that happen all over the city over these 10+ days, I’ve learned the hard way that if I don’t make it a point to take some major breaks, I’ll fizzle and burn. So, after the bungalow party our team hosted on Friday, and the panel I moderated yesterday, and my talk at Create + Cultivate today (I hope I see some of you there!) I’m headed home to put on my pajamas and cuddle on the couch with my babies. I won’t deny that it sounds like heaven right now. And speaking of heaven… these raspberry & ricotta crepes with fresh berries are for breakfast!
Also: pickup your tix to this year’s World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin. It’s rare that I actually look forward to a sporting event, but this one is a total blast.
And a favorite reader comment from the week, Kaori responding to this post about my favorite confidence booster:
I LOVE her Ted Talk! A professor showed this when I was in college and I’ve done it before every interview since. I’m a teacher now and I always show it to my students and we all do the peter pan/wonder woman pose as a class before anything that might be stressful for them, like standardized testing and presentations.
Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend, and scroll on for my favorite reads from around the web this week…
