2 tbsp olive oil
2 large shallots, chopped
kosher salt, McCormick Ground Black Pepper, pinch of sugar
1 tbsp fresh-squeezed orange juice
1 tsp McCormick Gourmet Organic Za'atar, plus more for garnish
1 cup plain greek yogurt
1 tbsp minced cilantro, plus leaves for garnish
roasted broccoli and pita chips for dipping
- Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium. Add the shallots and season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally and reducing heat if needed, until shallots are golden brown and tender, about 15 minutes, and let cool.
2. Mix the shallots, orange juice, and za'atar into yogurt in a medium bowl. Stir cilantro into the yogurt, top with cilantro leaves and another sprinkle of za'atar, and serve with roasted broccoli and pita chips.
