I love traveling for so many reasons, but one of the biggest is soaking in all of the interior design inspiration I’ve found at destinations around the globe. For that very reason, finding a hotel that is as inspiring design-wise as it is convenient is always high on my priority list. And when I check-in? I take it all in, mentally filing away any ideas for bringing hotel bedroom ideas back to my own space at home.
Taking inspiration from gorgeously designed destinations to infuse into our own space is the perfect way to get into that vacay state of mind when we’re staying home. So, scroll on for a few hotels that encapsulate drool-worthy design in nine totally different ways. The hotel bedrooms here range from low-key cool to boho beautiful and have key takeaways you can bring into your own home. I won’t deny that having some bold wallpaper and pretty architectural details (an outdoor shower doesn’t hurt either) will help make your room feel even more like a hotel room, but you can bring the look of these rooms home with a few smaller, easy updates through art and accessories. Now all you need is some room service.
Right this way for inspiring hotel bedroom ideas!

This particular room in the new London location is no different—mixing masculine details with a vintage-feminine vibe. Bahama House on Harbour Island is the only hotel on this list I’ve had the pleasure of actually visiting, and let me tell you, everything about this place is pastel rattan heaven. Give your bedroom a bit of a Bahamas vibe by scouring your local flea market for vintage rattan accents (or, you know, go all-in with a gorgeous rattan bed frame) and botanical illustrations. Then, layer up some palm-leaf print and sea blue textiles, and you’ll feel like you’re back on island time.

Though the chic U.K.-based hotel chain Artist Residence will make you wish your home had Victorian-era brick fireplaces and crown molding, you can achieve the look of the hotel bedrooms at the London outpost even if you don’t live in a heritage property. Achieve this casual-cool vibe by mixing vintage-inspired furniture (extra points if you go for a four-poster bed) and rustic textures with muted shades of blue and pop art prints.
Pottery Barn Miah Tufted Rug
The muted shades in this lovely rug are a close match to the ones featured at Artist Residence. It’s a classic rug style that feels global, timeless, and matches a variety of aesthetics. The colors are lovely but subtle enough that they won’t overwhelm a room.
